Eddie kadi

Eddie Kadi (born 18 May 1983), in Kinshasa is a UK comedian, presenter, actor and MC. A resident of Fulham, West London since 1992, he is a past student of Fulham Primary School, Henry Compton Secondary School, William Morris Academy and Kingston University from which he graduated with Bsc Honours in Media Technology.
Eddie Kadi is an all-round multi talented performer known for his particular wit and delivery of topically current, relevant, thought provoking yet clean material. Along with English; Eddie also speaks Lingala and French.
Eddie was always involved in music groups and workshops whilst at school. His first formal performance came when he hosted a talent show at Kingston University in. October 2002. Shortly after that experience, he joined Black Grape Productions
In 2006 Eddie Kadi won the BECA Award for Best Comedy Newcomer. He went on to stage a series of sold-out solo concerts – two of those during 2009 at the indigO2 .He continues to undertake numerous engagements and guest appearances across the UK, Europe and Africa. Eddie has also released a 4 disc DVD collection, and successfully completed numerous radio, television and film projects. His videos continue to attract high traffic on YouTube and other social networking sites.
Eddie’s work schedule continues to include regular slots as a presenter on BBC 1Xtra and co-presenter duties on the OHTV series “It’s All Good”.Eddie also made a cameo appearance in Series 3 of the Channel 4 series “Dubplate Drama”. Eddie’s work as a voiceover artist includes a characterisation in the Tiger Aspect produced animated TV series Tinga Tinga Tales, featuring English comedian Lenny Henry, Miriam Margolyes and Maureen Lipman. His film projects include the lead role in the short film Area Boys, shot in Africa and premiered at the 51st London Film Festival.
Eddie also appears as Reggy in the movie Shank,set for release in 2010.
Eddie Kadi’s “Behind the Scenes” reportage and video footage on the making of some of the day’s most iconic urban performers own promotional videos are now legendary amongst his numerous YouTube ,followers. Eddie Kadi has also featured vocally alongside top UK Hip Hop Artist Sway and worked with US Rap Artist Akon on his “Konfidence”,foundation in Senegal. Eddie Kadi has fronted documentaries with Current TV in France and MTV Base in Mali as well as station idents for MTV and the BBC.
Saturday 4th September 2010 will go down as another milestone in the career of Eddie Kadi, as he sets about selling out the first O2 Arena show to be staged by a black UK comedian.
